Ana Ribas, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist CA PSY 23577
My specialties include treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety, women’s issues such as pregnancy, family and career planning, as well as working with multicultural and/or minority clients, international students or professionals. I have also worked extensively with college and professional students. Additionally, I have extensive experience treating depression, perfectionism, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
I am currently a therapist at the UCLA Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program at the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, and was a staff psychologist at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services for about 7 years providing therapy to students and clinical supervision to trainees. I completed my internship at Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Services, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the department of Psychology at USC.
Having practiced in two countries gives me an appreciation for cultural contexts and how they influence people, as well as the way they perceive their problems. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and my undergraduate degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Porto, Portugal. I am licensed both in California and in Portugal, and have been a therapist in the US for about 11 years providing services for individuals, couples and groups in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
